Sleep is essential to good health and well-being.

As humans we are designed to be able to sleep.

However most of us at some time in our lives have problems sleeping—from a short term problem to chronic insomnia.

The number one cause of problems sleeping is due to a busy and worried mind that just won’t calm down however hard one tries.

For this reason I have created Storytime which is a bedtime story for adults to listen to when they go to bed. By focusing one’s mind on listening to my voice instead of listening to worried thoughts allows the mind to calm down and relax and allows you to drift into sleep. As you listen to Storytime every night you practice calming your mind and people say that their sleep becomes deeper and deeper with this daily practice.

As you continue calming your busy mind down at night you are reminding your body how to relax and sleep well. We were born with this ability to sleep – it’s just that sometimes we forget how.

Problems with sleep are so often a symptom of something else.

Get to the root of why you don't sleep well


When they don’t get enough sleep — either enough quality or quantity of sleep — so many people look for an answer to their sleeping problem. i.e. they want it “fixed.”

This is quite understandable.

However, what if not sleeping well is actually a symptom ? 

What if  inside every symptom is a message, or even a gift that your body is trying to make you aware of ? 

By getting rid of the symptom, you miss out on that !

 

It’s rather like a red light that comes on in a car.

The red light is a message for you to stop and give the car some attention.

It is also a gift, for if your car didn’t warn you with a red light, it would no doubt continue working until it broke down.

Instead you are given the opportunity to prevent a breakdown by attending to the problem.

Of course when you see the red light you don’t get rid of it by pulling out the light or covering it up with some tape !

You find out what the problem is.

The same with poor sleep.

When we have a problem with sleep it is an indication that we need to stop and to discover what the cause is.

When children aren’t sleeping well you would want to know if anything is troubling them.
